QRTR Track Of The Week #8
19 JULY 2019
Project Bongo – Miami
Our latest track of the week is from indie pop four-piece Project Bongo. Just released on july 5th via SNSD Records is ‘Miami,’ which is the first single from a five-track EP of the same name. Hailing from Utrecht, the guys met at Herman Brood Academy and rose to prominence with the Spotify hit ‘Keep A Secret.’ Comprised of Arthur Stoker, Cornel Sier, Jens Hulgen and Thom Heusinkveld, they continue to move from strength to strength.
Project Bongo’s sound is a blend of 80s-inspired synths fused together with fresh, guitar-tipped melodies and strong vocals. ‘Miami’ is a seriously summery listen, and one primed to get festival crowds going. Bright piano chords and dynamic hooks showcase the band’s irresistible appeal and individuality.
To sum it up, “Miami’ takes you back to the 80s. A synth pop track with a rock n roll edge.”
