QRTR Track Of The Week #23

15 April 2020

Blanks – Dance Alone

Blanks, also known as the 22-year-old Dutch multi instrumentalist and singer Simon de Wit, got internationally famous thanks to his YouTube channel ‘Music By Blanks’. He made videos in which he covered loads of famous songs and shared his own works. Now he is a full-blown artist with his own repertoire. His talent and his overly enthusiasm, gives Blanks his famous ‘good vibes only mentality’.

On April 10th the Dutch multi-talent released his new song ‘Dance Alone’ and is this week’s Track Of The Week.

‘Dance Alone’ is the answer to the isolation and social landscape we all live in these days. A brilliant uptempo song with well put effects on the catching vocals of the young talent. Blanks managed to capture all the frustration, anger, loneliness and exasperation of quarantine emotions in a truly uplifting song, that sounds like a party anthem. Although the song sounds so happy, it has lyrics that gives you questions that keep you wondering what you are doing while staying at home.

With a perfect balance between powerful meaning and a catchy sound, you simply cannot sit still while listening to this new song.

Listen to Blanks – ‘Dance Alone’ in our Fresh Tunes playlist on your favorite streaming service.
