QRTR Track Of The Week #9

24 JULY 2019

Villagers – Summer’s Song

Conor O’Brien, aka Villagers, is back with a shimmering new song, produced by Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT, Tame Impala, Mercury Rev). Summer’s Song is the follow up to last year’s album ‘The Art Of Pretending To Swim’.

Conor says: “I feel like the song speaks for itself in terms of a sun-soaked yet wistful vibe. It came from a general feeling of wanting something blissed-out and sun-soaked whilst still retaining a vaguely melancholy and wistful feeling. Summer used to last forever: Summer’s sweet lament is in your heart….”
