QRTR Track Of The Week #12

22 AUGUST 2019

Lostboycrow – Waste of Time (Live)

As Lostboycrow, the artist born Chris Blair, fuses R&B, pop, and electronic music into smoothly soulful songs. After establishing his genre-bending style with streaming hits such as 2016’s “Powers,” he gave it a more ambitious scope with the Traveler EP trilogy and 2019’s full-length Santa Fe. This magical little town served as the backdrop for Lostboycrow’s latest album.  At the onset of his touring career in 2011, New Mexico welcomed him with open arms at cozy coffee houses. Even further back, the first song he performed live in high school would be “Santa Fe” from the musical Newsies.

Lostboycrow recently released a few live recordings that take you on the journey and make you feel like you´re right there. We picked Waste of Time as this weeks QRTR Track Of The Week.

“Waste of time came from the idea that the act of creating something is its own reward. Experimenting and arranging it with the full live band (Cole Petersen, Sean Sobash, Boaz Roberts) was the perfect way to put this into practice and is continually my favorite way to start a show.”

Listen to Lostboycrow – Waste Of Time (Live At Lucy’s Meat Market) in our So Alternative! playlist on your favorite streaming service.
