QRTR Track Of The Week #10
07 AUGUST 2019
Paper Towns – Amsterdam
A few months ago, we found out about Paper Towns, a collaborative Folk/Americana project by Jaimi Faulkner and Jan Schroeder of Causes. Last week, they released their latest gem ‘Amsterdam’. It captures a feeling that I think we all recognize.
“Amsterdam is a song about trying to move on after saying goodbye to someone you love when truthfully, you’re not ready to let them go. Every little detail in town brings back memories of your time together and even though you know that fate has run it’s course, you can’t help but hold on to the hope that your paths may cross again”.
This week’s Track Of The Week is by Leif Vollebekk, a Montreal adopted singer-songwriter. He just released his highly anticipated fourth full-length album ‘New Ways’ on November 1st
This week’s Track Of The Week is by Rex Rebel. the band surrounding K’s Choice singer Sam Bettens, who used to be called Sarah and made the transition from female to male earlier this year, they just released their debut single ‘Big Shot’.
The Norwegian based Thomas Dybdahl is one of Scandinavia’s most popular and acclaimed singer/songwriters. His award winning elegant and expressive songs of love and loss have earned him comparisons to Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley.
